Scale

The Scale plan adds online payments to everything in Growth. Customers can pay online before their meal is prepared, or at the end of their visit. Each restaurant connects their own Stripe account — payouts go directly to them, with no funds held by DineVista.

Connecting your Stripe account

To accept online payments, you connect your own Stripe account to DineVista. This is a one-time setup. Money paid by customers goes directly into your Stripe account — DineVista never holds your funds.

1

Click "Connect with Stripe" in your dashboard

Go to Dashboard → Billing and click the Connect with Stripe button.
2

Complete the Stripe onboarding form

You are taken to Stripe's secure form where you enter your business details and bank account for payouts. This process is handled entirely by Stripe.
3

You're redirected back to DineVista

Once Stripe approves your account, you are returned to your DineVista dashboard and online payments are enabled.
4

Access your Stripe dashboard any time

From the billing page, open your Stripe dashboard at any time to view payouts, transactions, and tax summaries.

Payment options

When placing an order on the Scale plan, the customer chooses one of two options:

  • ✓Pay now — the customer pays online before the kitchen starts preparing their order.
  • ✓Pay at the end — the order is placed immediately and the customer pays online when they are ready to leave.

Pay before the meal

The customer pays at the point of ordering. The kitchen only starts when payment is confirmed.

1

Customer adds items and chooses Pay now

The customer builds their cart and selects the pay-now option at checkout.
2

Customer is taken to the Stripe payment page

A secure Stripe Checkout page opens with the order total. The customer enters their card details on Stripe's page — not on DineVista.
3

Payment is confirmed

Once Stripe confirms the payment, the order appears on your kitchen dashboard, ready to prepare.
4

Kitchen begins preparing

Staff see the order on the orders dashboard and work through the normal order lifecycle.

Pay after the meal

The customer orders first — food preparation begins immediately — and pays when they are ready to leave.

1

Customer adds items and chooses Pay at the end

The customer places their order and the kitchen starts immediately. No payment is required upfront.
2

Kitchen prepares the order

Staff process the order through the normal status lifecycle (Accepted → Preparing → Ready).
3

Customer requests to pay

When ready to leave, the customer taps Pay on the menu page. A secure Stripe Checkout link is generated for the full bill.
4

Payment is confirmed

Once the customer pays on Stripe, the order is marked as completed on your dashboard.

Subscription management

Your subscription is managed from Dashboard → Billing. Billing is handled entirely through Stripe.

Subscribing

1

Select a plan and billing period

Choose Starter, Growth, or Scale; and monthly or yearly billing. Yearly billing saves up to 17%.
2

Complete payment on Stripe

You are taken to Stripe's secure checkout to enter your payment details. Your subscription activates immediately on payment.

Upgrading, downgrading & cancelling

Open the Stripe Customer Portal from the billing page to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
